    built motor to me means more than changing one part, but to each their own.
    Now we're getting down to 'how built' it is.

    Drop in pistons and rods (thanks to previous 2.5 TFSI generations btw) do equal a built motor as the internals are now forged and aftermarket.

    Regardless, this is a strange thread. Nobody is doubting the 2.5 TFSI performance but if you look at the vid the owner left out big info as in his motor, TCU tuning, fuel, etc.

    Yeah he casually did leave that out! Really what thatís doing for him is allowing a lot more tq, peak whp wise heís probably not making much more then an aggressively tuned stock motor hybrid car, seems tq is whatís hurting these motors and lots of guys are pushing them into the 700+ peak whp range on the stock motor with their race files
