The E46 M3 already comes with arguably the greatest modern era BMW I6 ever produced. Sorry N54 fans, you are not going to top the factory iron block, 8k rpm redline, high flowing head, or volumetric efficiency. It's why the S54 can do things like this.

So why in the world would someone swap an N54 into the E46 M3? Because they can apparently.

A group of guys in Spain with the help of Kaiten Sports is making it happen.

There is a lot of work involved especially with the wiring but they have it running with the help of an SCS Delta standalone ECU.
