BMW stuck their new 3-Series in the back at the Los Angeles Auto Show making it tough to get pictures from behind. It almost seemed to be off in its own little corner instead of front and center but it certainly was the star of the BMW lineup in BimmerBoost's view.

Why? Because for one the updated B58 motor is offering a ton of power for a non-M 3-Series and the design is sublime.

The G20 almost seems like a mini-5 series. It feels and looks fairly large for a 3. The exterior is elegant and more refined than the F30. The lights and front grill in particular just are a smoother design.

Inside the car looks great with contrasting stitching and LED lighting aiding the design. It certainly looks upscale again for a 3-Series.

The M340i xDrive with a 382 horsepower B58 is going to be a bargain BMW dragster. It really will not be giving up much to say an F80 M3 as off the line the all wheel drive will be a huge advantage and the B58 is no slouch although we will need to see if the new design poses problems for tuners.

The G20 M340i xDrive design bodes well for the upcoming G80 M3 but it sure seems like it will more of a small M5 than Motorsport inspired design. You could even argue it is taking on Audi characteristics. That seems to be what the market wants.

No doubt it will be a hit.
