Bimmerworld MHI big turbo for N20?

I just picked up an F25 with a blown motor. I built a N20 for it. Nothing crazy, mostly stock, new bearings, total seal rings gapped for more boost. But it needs a turbo. This turbo has too much play. Sets an under boost fault if you slowly roll into it. I'm picking up one of the MHI turbo and tune setups from bimmerworld. Has anyone done one of these kits? Any dyno numbers? Just wondering what to expect. Installing it next week

I haven't seen any results with the Bimmerworld turbo.

Why not have the turbo rebuilt and upgraded by say Pure?

Black Friday deal had the turbo and tune to my door step for $1599.00 and my manifold had a lot of play in the hole for waste gate. This turbo came with the manifold.

Well, looking forward to your results.

This is originally an xDrive28i right?

Not sure if I will dyno it or not but I should make a few passes down the drag strip with it.

Installed the new turbo today. Went smooth. Only modification to go from the lectronic waste gate to the pneumatic is to drill out the hole in the rod that actuates the waste gate valve. Bimmerworld claims 290hp at the wheels and 340lbs. At the wheels. That's with stock exhaust. Epic motorsports is doing the tune. Can't wait to take this thing for a spin!

Tune installed. Epic messed with the transmission coding also. Now in sport mode with the dsc, off the transmission shifts fast and firm! I raced a 2011 X3 Xdrive35i. The 35i jumped a car length off the line. But once the turbo on the 28i spooled up, I reeled the 35i back in and was walking passed it by 70 mph. I still get 30mpg highway. So I am happy with the turbo and tune. They quote 290hp at the wheels for this turbo kit and with how I pulled on an n55, knowing they usually put 280ish at the wheels, i would say that is acurate if not a little consevative. Cheaper than a stock turbo replacement. I am happy with my purchase.

That's pretty awesome news and impressive.

So cheaper than replacing the turbo and you have N55 beating performance.

Would love to see a graph if you ever dyno it!

This was the dyno data supplied by bimmerworld when I asked for it.

And it was dumb luck that one of my friends showed up with a n55 powered X3. It is stock with 55k miles on it. Now to see how this N20 holds up to my right foot! Lol

Just a little update. This was using the Auto meter data link. Not sure how accurate it is but I think my hopes of 13 second 1/4 mile is doable! Still knocking out 30mpg at 70! I’m happy with the results!
