    Another 2018 BMW F90 M5 vs. Mercedes-AMG W213 E63 S drag race

Prepare to see a lot of these videos. The previous one you saw was from Carwow and the E63 came out on top. That is in contrast to magazine tests showing the F90 M5 as the quicker and faster car. So what is the truth?

Well, we are going to need plenty of data and comparisons to decide.

In this video the M5 wins. Why? Well, it jumps. This is why reaction and 60 foot times are so important in drag races.

They run again and again a better start from the F90 M5 gives it the win.

No data provided and nothing of real value as they do not do a roll race for further context. A crap comparison but a comparison nonetheless.

It seems the most important variable is the driver between the two cars.

Crap comparisons are worse than no comparisons.
Pretty sure the M5 is faster and quicker.

Looks spot on. The M5 looks to be trapping a few MPH faster.

Interesting thing about the Carwow video, the M5 also lost from a roll. Didn’t expect that.

Honestly think these two cars are very very close in performance. One bad launch and other car isn’t making up distance.

Equal drivers, C&D had them within 1mph and 0.1sec in 1/4. Basically...pick your poison.

Exactly. Why we desperately needed a roll here.

Seems to be a driver's race.

There are a couple 60-130 results posted for F90, mid 8’s. Like Terry said on his forum, I also was expecting 7’s.

Pick your poison for a stock car, but who on this forum will keep it stock and for how long?

When it comes to tuning, the f10 lead the way and still holds a 1/4 mile record, 9.99 allmotor2000 no e63 has run 9.99 at nhra approved track, please correct me if I am wrong. And if they did run 9’s it’s a one off custom build that cost $$$$ that no one else has. Allmotor2000’s f10 could be replicated by every day joe.

The f90 has essentially the same s63 as the f10 just minorly improves, so in that same spirit I am predicting the tuning to go nuts on the f90, and get see it beat the e63 to the 9’s.

So IND just dynoed 625whp and 608wtq. How are owners only in 8sec 60-130mph? New drivetrain must rob a lot of power.

    Our best run was in 5th gear/AWD/Sport Plus - a surprising 625 whp // 608 lb/ft torque.

^ Yep saw the gear on the run file.

Surprised to say the least they got such a difference but it seems people aren't using the right modes.

My 911 dynos differently based on what mode it is in as well.
