Real world McLaren 720S performance - 720S vs. Aventador SV at the 1/4 mile + 0-150 acceleration

The 720S is just astonishing the world with its performance. That it puts up almost 700 horsepower to the wheels stock is incredible. Combine that power with a relatively low curb weight and magazines getting 10.1 @ 146 out of it in testing is no surprise.

Magazine numbers and real world figures are two different things. A 720S was tested out at the Palm Beach dragstrip in Florida. One should keep in mind Florida heat and humidity will impact the numbers.

The 720S manages a 10.116 (trap speed did not read out but said to be low 140's) to the Aventador's 11.209 @ 129.79.

In the Aventador SV's defense, it bogs badly out of the hole and it is supposed to be a track car but wow does it get blown away. It doesn't help that it weighs about 700 pounds more.

The 720S should easily break into the 9's stock in better conditions.
