I wonder how fast it could really crash? Like there are no safe guards in place right?

Markets are always slow/down in December/January, whether its stock markets/Forex/whatever. Most people(esp big banks/hedge funds) take most of Dec/Jan off. Volume/liquidity usually significantly drops in these two months.

My portfolio is half of what it was a few weeks ago, but that's ok things should start picking up the next few weeks and the portfolios will start going up again.

My opinion on XRP is it isn't going anywhere(not a crap coin I mean) and I'll be holding it most of this year and maybe next. It's not a super long term position(2-3+ years) for me, but definitely medium term(ie a year or so).

My only coin surviving in the green is VEN which is impressive.

    ICX isn't too, too bad.

    ENG is killing me.

I think we're at the bottom now? Finally? I tried to buy bitcoin last night but my bank stopped me. Apparently buying bitcoin at 5 am is not normal.

    Bitcoin under $10k and falling.

    Ethereum at $880.

Close to that time to buy isn't it?

So thinking to pull the trigger on some BTC. It's right at that $10k mark.

Just wondering how much more it will dip but I suppose so is everyone else.

No, you should have been on BitMEX shorting with leverage. One trader in a group I follow was up 3,400% at one point last night.

It can still go down, a couple individuals that I trust their opinion. They were warning of this correction almost two weeks ago, they had charted bottom basement targets as low as $5k. Not saying it will go to that, but there is a chance. It has been blowing through support levels. Although it does seem to be finding resistance right around $9k, has hit that a couple times and bounced. If it dips well into $8k, it will do another big downward dip.

Keep in mind even $5k BTC is still record levels from a year ago. BTC was $900 in early Jan 2017.

I started mining with a gaming computer dual 1080ti cards and it was averaging $19-22 per day using nice hash when the market cap was around 700 B.... now with this downed market its doing about 12-14 a day. ordered up some supplies with a friend to build 4 complete 8 gpu rigs. its insane the prices of these graphic cards and how much they have shot up recently from demand, luckily we were able to score most of them at great prices.

If going by technical analysis(charting), I think we can see BTC fall to 6-7k area.

Looks to have stabilized. I was so close to pulling the trigger last night only to see it bounce back to $11k today.

Let's see what happens. I'm watching it closely. Maybe it will dip down to the $9k range again?
