I don't wanna start anything and just genuinely interested to know - What are the pros of this option compared to going down the simpler track and using the TwistedTuning solenoid that works with the DME's high frequency PWM?

They should do roughly the same thing. The biggest difference I imagine is that the MAC solenoids are bulletproof, tested, and cheap - and this solution is fairly cheap even with paying Motiv for the tune . I don't know how much the new TT solenoid will cost, but usually doing custom solenoid production like that would be quite expensive.

Surely it's not a custom production, but rather finding the right item that already exists in an non-automotive application.

No, I'm pretty sure he had his solenoid made to his specs. We tested 15+ different ones that were "supposed" to work in the right Hz range...none did. Even a magic "1000Hz" solenoid topped out at 90Hz on the bench.

And for those worried about the size of these modules, you shouldn't. They are super tiny. Not much bigger than the solenoid plugs themselves.

Have you guys established a shipping date? I have a week off at the end of this month and that would be the perfect time to install this lil box.

Im sure it only takes a few min to install, given the plug and play.

Longest part of install is opening the DME box if you haven't deleted your cowl Click here to enlarge

You'd still have 167.9 hours of free time

It's probably going to take a little longer for me. I have to remove jb4 and bluetooth kit and that is going to involve soldering wires back in place. Also my MAC is soldered into the boost solenoid and I'm gonna have to do some cutting and soldering there, or just order a new MAC and leave it at that.

Ugh, We were very close to being sold out on our first batch so when we ordered a second batch the Manufacturer held shipping to send them all at once. I didnt find this out until to late but i do have the first batch being expedited So it should be less than a week delay.

Did you install your boost box?

I'm thinking of putting the ground where the ground posts are for the injectors. Good idea or not?

Yea, mine has been in for months.

Nah. Just ground it to the body. I try not to use one location for multiple grounds. Mine is grounded under passenger fender on the frame.
