Yesterday i tried to flash a friends car (640i GT B58) with MHD.
The flash didn’t go as planned, because it simply wouldn’t start the flashing procedure.

I think if you busted something mechanically in the engine, you would DEFINITELY notice it on cold start.
These engines are really sensitive to everything on cold starts.

Faulty PCV's can generate a lot of stupid issues (including giant clouds of smoke).
I however also had oil consumption (1L/2000km) and i thought this was relative to the smoking.
When i went RB...

I also went external RB PCV (with blocked head ports) and it reduced my smoking as well.
It still smokes once in a while, but i think my turbo seals are toast..

Keep in mind, the intake manifold vacuum is very strong in gear on decel, so oil vapour will get sucked into the intake.
If your PCV is faulty in some way, you will get huge clouds on this occasion.
