    • How 3D Printed automotive parts are made - MIMO Technik 3D printing BMW/Supra B58 intake manifold for Papadakis Racing

You are all familiar with Papadakis Racing and their absurdly awesome 1000+ horsepower B58 Supra motor build that is essentially the crème de la crème of MKV/A90 Supra engine builds. Take a further look into the processes that make such a build possible such as industrial/aerospace scale 3D Printing.

Papadakis Racing went to MIMO Technik for several reasons. First, they have the machines necessary which can run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Secondly, they have experience in this sector.

Many of the pieces yours truly runs MIMO Technik had a hand in such as the ALTi wheels or TiAL inlets/intercoolers.

3D Printing will only expand and become more important in the automotive sector. Years ago, people never thought a full manifold would be 3D printed.

      Some more examples:

3D design | 3D print . Inconel 625 alloy exhaust manifold grown for racing and engineering development. Leading material properties and outstanding surface finishes.

991 Porsche Turbo Intercooler endtanks. Designed and optimized without the limitations of traditional manufacturing. 3D printing in exclusive series production is here !

The video below goes over the process and our very own @3DMetal makes a cameo at :50:

Amazing technology! I honestly did not realize how far it had come. I would be curious to know how long some of those prints take.
