That does not mean things do not get sloppy as they get too big to care. Vivid Racing is one example.
A company should not act like its customers are doing it a favor by doing business with them. The company should work to maintain, support, and appreciate their customer base.
So what is the reason for the 'Why I Hate ECS Tuning' group to exist?
Well, here's a few documented examples:
Seriously who the hell packages the orders at this company. This is the box my coilovers came in with a huge hole at one side when i received it had my coilover sticking out of it.
How far will I go to avoid ordering from ECS?Well, they sell the same (or similar) clutch bleeder block upgrade for $130+, and I got this from the UK for about $60. Not only am I saving money, I’m not giving ECS any of it.
So I email ECS and say hey I’ve had these adjustable front sway bar end links on my car for less than 7 months. The bushings are literally cracking apart and I get a clunk everytime I accelerate or brake hard. They come back with send us your order number and photos and we’ll replace them. So I do and add, “Do you guys have an updated version to correct this? It’s obviously like a defective design or something. Or you’re just going to send me the same thing to happen again?” And they say “it’ll be the same thing there’s no update” and shipped me another set. Left me scratching my head
$31.14 shipping for a set of four spark plugs. This was the only shipping option 2-4 business days. Get the hell out of here
This is how my roommates side skirts were delivered. Ridiculous.
Data breaches simply can not be defended:
Ordered an axle from ECS... got an empty box.
They said it was a shipper (UPS) screw up as the box didnt have ECS tape on it... legit?

I like how ECS tuning has this clutch kit for 10% off yet it's still like $700 more than FCP's price. And yes I obviously went with FCP lol
ECS quality special: a bit over a year later and the epoxy is failing on my ECS CF intake tube.... 300$ pissed into the wind as I’m not risking running it and sucking epoxy into my motor
Why i hate ecs tuning!
1 - trying to contact customer service is almost impossible. 10 minute minimum phone call till you get kicked off the line. (On returns/warranties) anything else like becoming a distributor they pick right tf up. Instant messenger service team pick and choose who they wanna help and even what questions they will and will NOT answer!? Like why the fk did it not fit? (Claims my cars falling apart and thats why it doesn’t fit��*♂️) are you shitting me? The original oem that came off it had no problem fitting.....
2 - why did the “oem” part not fit? Website claims its direct fit. worked at it for 3days (3-4 hours at a time) hydraulic line was an inch short and by the time i bent it close enough to make the line fit its to the point of leaking...
3 - returns are made so bs you’ll be lucky to receive a refund at all. They have the option to charge you 15% restock fee! By the way NEVER throw away ur ecs original boxing or chances are they will not return it.
This is not a professional company i will continue to do business with.

ECS Tuning keeps getting bigger apparently acquiring some other retailers.
For there to be a dedicated hate group with hundreds of stories shows this is not just random but perhaps ECS Tuning needs better management or they are too big.
Either way, they will not improve unless someone says something and plenty of people are saying something.
