        You already saw the post with the front of the BMW G80 M3 pictured with its controversial giant vertical kidney grill design. Well, here is what is being passed around the internet and reported as the production rear end design.


        It is quite tame compared to the front end. It does not seem to be complete as the exhaust tips are small and the diffuser will likely be black and not color matched to the paint.

        Kind of odd to see BMW go so aggressive up front with a radical departure from their traditional design language and then continue somewhat subdued BMW design language in back.

        This car may end up looking like one person designed the back and another (possibly drunk) person designed the front.

          That's like the current gen Mercedes SL. Still has the taillights from 2003 but the front from 2020...

          I'd have to disagree. The SL is a subtle and sleek evolution overall IMO.

          I like the front and side look a lot, but feel that the rear really ages the car 10 years. I think a new taillight design (similar to how the C-class models the S-class sedan) could really help. Whether that be going to S-class coupe or AMG GT style rear lights, I think it could work.
