    • TTE releases TTE510 BMW B58 hybrid turbocharger upgrade - M140i, M240i, 340i, 440i, 540i, 640i, etc.

The B58 tuning market is really heating up. There are plenty of software solutions but the factory turbocharger is taxed fairly quickly. If you want to reliably go past ~440 whp depending on supporting mods and fueling you will need to upgrade the turbocharger.

In comes TTE with their TTE510 hybrid turbocharger:

TTE510 is our very latest hybrid performance upgrade turbocharger based on the Original turbocharger for the BMW B58 inline-six-cylinder turbocharged engine. Fast spool and response with extra power. We feel this is a great performing 500hp hybrid.

To construct a TTE510 we change the original compressor and employ a far larger and more efficient billet wheel with extended tip technology and mill the compressor cover to optimum gap to match the new compressor profile. We modify the original turbine for greater flow.
      Product Highlights:

      • Original Genuine turbocharger as the base part
      • Original Genuine actuator
      • Original Genuine diverter valve
      • TTE Billet Milled compressor 6+6 Blade with Extended Tip
      • TTE High-Flow clipped turbine
      • Plug & Play installation
      • 500HP capable
      • Proven TheTurboEngineers quality
      • Single parts finely balanced then components assembled and core high-speed VSR balanced
      • Supplied with a balance test result document
      • Made in Germany

We should start seeing some very stout B58's toward the end of the year and going forward.

      Pricing is 1360 Euros.

At first I thought that was a great price, but this looks equivalent to a stage 1 turbo right? Haven't a few stock turbos been around 500whp.

I think I only have a graph for one 501 whp B58 and it took a lot of meth and pushing the turbo hard to get there.

Even so, why would you spend ~$1600 on a turbo equivalent to stock if it is only rated to 500hp.

I'll have an article explaining why European pricing is different shortly.

Difference is getting one glorious dyno pull with a stock turbo or constant 500hp with this turbo.

Turbosystem and Pure are more appealing since they upgrade the turbine too.
