    • Eventuri introduces revised BMW F90 V2 carbon S63TU2 air intake system

Eventuri products are high quality and this network of websites is a big fan of their intakes. Eventuri takes performance and their design seriously (they are not just eye candy) as this V2 revision of their BMW F90 M5 S63TU2 intake shows.

Eventuri explains what changed and why:

Having gathered more data, we decided to seal the openings of the filter housings with carbon shrouds. These shrouds close off the visible filter opening in the engine bay while still allowing for the cold air saturation from the front scoops.

The result is a more stable IAT while the car is at low speeds and slower heat soak while stationary. This allows for a better initial launch from a standstill as the immediate area in front of the filters is shielded from the heat of the engine.

The shrouds are crafted from prepreg carbon fiber and will now be included on all new F90 M5 systems. Existing owners of our F90 intake can also purchase the shrouds separately to upgrade their system.

I always wondered if the original version was a true CAI system as that was never confirmed in videos or in any announcements that I saw.

Now we are made aware that they were basically high tech DCI in function and suffered the same deficiencies.

I have ordered my set from City Performance Centre (CPC) in Sydney, Australia a couple of days ago.

CPC have done all the work on my cars over the years. Their work is flawless......

I can’t wait to pick up my M5 Comp tomorrow after it has had Stage 2 tune.

it already has Akra exhaust, KW V4 suspension, spacers, Eventuri - I thought it was mental until we had Stage 1 tune done and I thought faaarck me!

can’t wait to try Stage 2......

Have you dyno'd or timed it between stages?

So Ive given my dyno sheet for the tune of my F90 M5 CP, with a bunch of extra stuff done.

the car is quite frankly mental.

howeve, given there has been no commentary from other members I can only assume the interested membership base is so shallow and/or there is no one else out there that has done this whom is a member....

        well I wonder...

The Eventuri intake is great but it's mostly a US forum so guys aren't familiar with your dyno type. Also hard to separate the intake gains from tune gains.
