    • ESS-Tuning G1,G2, and G3 revised BMW E9X M3 S65 V8 supercharger kits good for up to ~1000 whp?

This is an interesting piece of news although perplexing. Not too much development is taking place in the S65 V8 realm as enthusiasts are engine and not blower limited. Nevertheless, ESS is introducing new G1, G2, and G3 supercharger setups it with a new head unit.

This new head unit is said to be more efficient but there is not yet anything posted supporting the claim:

BimmerBoost member @karel seems to have an example running with a Syvecs standalone on a dry sump S65 V8 he says will make 1000+ horsepower:

How exactly does he plan to keep the motor together? The problem for the S65 V8 is not output as to this date nobody has made more torque than the BimmerBoost.com E92 M3 with a Gintani Stage 3+ setup featuring a Vortech YSI.

Changing the head unit does not mean suddenly the engine block get stronger. PPM Racing Australia seems to think they have it figured out:

Color BimmerBoost skeptical but we'll dig for info and of course post what we find. Maybe the S65 will finally take that big step forward?

WOW, ESS is making their own Supercharger head unit. I guess they are tired of pay the 'Vortech Tax'.

The S65 is good for 600hp and that is all. And between all the SC systems i would get the Harrop to have the best powerband for street and enjoy it for whatever it is. HP monster it ain't.

That little scooter filter is what they're using? LOL I'd be surprised if it made 400whp through that.

Lol, I saw that and was thinking it had to be the crank case breather filter.

These new blowers will serve better the ls3 / lt1 /lt4 / coyote applications coming soon from ess.

One guy on camaro 5 has very good results with the G3x.

Hey Guys nice that you like it Click here to enlarge

to clarify some parts, The engine bay picture is not my car or my engine bay.
we run a 5" inlet air filter from KN i believe its some where to 6-7" long

        as seen here.

People that say that S65 is good for 600 dont know what they are talking about.

"yeah if you take it out of a 10year old car i might brake after 600bhp"

But also believing that these engines that are close to 1000hp are untouched is very naive.

This car isn't driven on the road so 60-130 or other acceleration test have not been done

        This is my engine bay

I would not recommend to put a G3 on a street car as this supercharger is good for 1500hp its just to big to fit in there.

Ps. Spool wise these Gx superchargers are on another level then before !!

Built S65's haven't really provided provided an advantage as they don't hold.

173 was my 1/2 mile with the YSI on low boost with headwind.

This is the Stage X 1/4 mile time, stock internals: https://www.bimmerboost.com/content....-10-3-136-pass

        10.3 @ 136, not bad.

Well how are you getting close to 1000+?

One post says 800 hp while others are claiming 1000+ whp capability without any proof.

Its been dynoed at 810hp at 0.83 bars at 7500rpm, then on the track is been tested to 8700rpm and gets the boost to 1.22, there is no dyno sheet at 1.22 but if you do the math there is over 1000hp in that engine.

Im putting this engine in the new DTM car im building so its going back on the dyno end of this year / beginning of next year so then i will provide a dyno sheet of the 1000hp

if a s63 engine can manage 1000hp why shouldn't a s65 as they are very similar engines
