    • Jordantuned before/after water-meth injection results on factory turbo BMW S55 motor with 93 octane - 536 whp, 607 wtq

Water-meth injection makes a big difference in performance especially for those who do not have high quality fuel available. Those with 91 octane available definitely should look into methanol injection for increased octane, cooling, and detonation resistance.

Jordantuned did a tune on this S55 (F80 M3/F82 M4) motor with 93 octane only and then after the addition of a Snow Performance meth kit:

He states his 93 octane tune made 524 wheel horsepower and 595 lb-ft of torque at the wheels on 93 octane with unspecified supporting modifications.

After the meth kit, he hit 536 wheel horsepower and 607 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.

He did not specify the meth blend but BimmerBoost assumes 50/50 due to the rather modest gains.

Plus, with already getting close to 600 lb-ft at the wheels on 93 octane on the factory turbos it seems the 93 octane tune is not all that mild to begin with.

The curves themselves look pretty good although usually meth injection will provide a greater bump over pump gas but it certainly depends on the tune, fuel quality, and platform.

Those are very disappointing gains. Im guessing this was done mostly for safety.

        I would agree.
