    • Standing 1/2 mile drag races between the BMW F90 M5 and W213 E63 AMG S

The Moscow Unlimited run videos actually do a pretty good job showcasing straightline performance. The timing equipment is not NHRA certified but that is fine as the cars are all on the same playing field when running against each other. Also, you get data and splits which help you understand what exactly is taking place during the race.

A video yesterday showed a GT 63 S trouncing an F90 M5 Competition especially in a run from a stop. Well, look how things can change when the F90 M5 is properly launched.

A black W213 Mercedes-AMG E63 S runs two different stock BMW F90 M5's three times. All three times the M5's come out on top.

      Run 1:

      Run 2:

      Run 3:

The M5's despite the black grills are stated to be standard M5's and not Competition models.

Regardless, a best trap of 252.54 kph or 156.92 mph compared to the E63's best of 243.98 or 151.50 mph.

I like it. Not a fan of the rolling half mile races where two people try to stay exactly even until crossing the starting line at an inaccurate speed. I feel like those races tell you very little about anything. Standing half mile is where it's at.

Also surprised how much the M5's are gapping the E63 S.

Exsctly. Rolling races at various gears and starting speeds with no data is idiotic.
