    • Evolve Automotive before/after CSF BMW F87 M2 N55 intercooler testing

CSF products are popular on BimmerBoost along with other BoostAddict network forum makes because they work and are priced well. The BimmerBoost.com project E92 M3 runs the full suite of CSF cooling products. Evolve Automotive in the UK is also a fan of CSF and ordered up their F87 M2 N55B30T0 intercooler to test.

The CSF intercooler is bigger but it is not just all about size. Flow, fin design, end tank design, etc., are all important factors.

Their dyno testing immediately shows gains for the CSF piece over stock on the M2 which features an Evolve tune as well as a decat and intake:

The power gains are great but what is important here is that you will retain that power over multiple pulls. The factory piece quickly will be overwhelmed (especially on the track) while the upgraded intercooler will do much better over extended periods at WOT.

The gap widens the more you rev out. Just look at the 4th gear log figures. The CSF intercooler is providing IAT's less than half of the temperature of the stock piece:

If you have a tuned M2, why wouldn't you upgrade your intercooler?
