    • B58 tuning continues to impress with factory turbo topping 500 whp - TNT Racewerks F30 340xi with JB4 + DME Tuning stack

      The B58 may not be the new 2JZ but it may be the new N54 and then some. How does 500 horsepower to all four wheels along with 542 lb-ft of torque at all four wheels sound? Pretty darn good especially when you factor in this was achieved on the factory turbocharger.


      How much room is left in it we leave up to tuners but the B58 certainly is showing well and is a huge improvement on the N55.

      The recipe:

      ➖Burger Motorsports Jb4 & Intake
      ➖Evolution Racewerks Downpipe
      ➖custom Meth Kit done By TNT Racewerks
      ➖Ecu Flashed by DME Tuning
      ➖Custom Exhaust

      Nothing crazy there and just a simple bolt on mod list with methanol obviously being necessary.

      Impressive.

        a little off-topic, but is the F30 XI platform able to put it down better than E90 XI?

        This is impressive! If it's a half as reliable as the N54, I may consider getting one. But that engine bay,... A bowl of spaghetti.

        Not quite seeing what made the methanol "necessary" other than as a fuel it allows more timing advance and reduces IAT.

        To reach those power levels, advancing timing and lowering IATís is probably the exact reason it was necessary. Those two factors are extremely important.

        I would love to see this B58 with the Xtreme.di XDI HPFP and no methanol injection.

        I don't think you're hitting 500 whp without methanol there.
