    • BMW likely to end N74 twin turbo V12 motor offering in the 7-Series in favor of a hybrid drivetrain

This is a rumor and one that is quite questionable. BMW produces twin turbo N74 V12's in various 6.0+ liter displacements and it makes sense for BMW to do so as they own Rolls Royce. The V12 is an engine associated with prestige and power.

Mercedes-AMG recently announced the end of the V12 for the S-Class and likely altogether and it seems BMW is following suit when the current 7-Series ends production. The thing is, BMW needs a V12 for Rolls Royce models.

BMW likely will keep building V12's but not offer them in BMW products.

None of this is confirmed but simply a rumor being spread and seemingly for clicks. Still, it is likely correct simply because the industry is headed toward hybrids and smaller motors with V12's the most obvious choice for the chopping block.

But some V12 should be in limited production halo BMW models and help recover some production costs for RR.

You would think so as they do that now but this may signal that Rolls Royce will go away from the V12 as well.
