    • Dodson releases 12-plate Promax BMW DCT transmission upgrade for big torque applications

With newer turbo BMW's pushing the boundaries of power the DCT transmission can quickly become a liability. RK Tunes found this out recently when running their 1000+ whp single turbo DCT F80 M3 on the 1/4 mile dragstrip.

Dodson of course already offered a 10-plate Sportsman Plus DCT clutch upgrade good for 700+ lb-ft of torque.

Well, Dodson has a new Promax setup for the big boys:

PROMAX CLUTCH UPGRADE TO SUIT BMW DCT

      • - Complete clutch replacement for BMW
      • - 7/7 to 12/12 plate clutch builds available depending on requirements

      • - Advanced clutch cooling designs
      • - Reduced drag and heat

E92N is a chassis code I have not seen before. Is it BMW or a Dodson code?

This looks like DCT insurance for whatever one has planned for the future.

I’m glad the DCT’s are handling a ton of power with just a clutch upgrade. This will probably motivate a few more people to aim for that 1,000+ WHP target.

Thank you. I have seen only E9xMUE for the LCI previously.
