    • TTFS shipping N55 XDI35 HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) upgrades

It seems as if it took forever for true HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) solutions to hit the BMW aftermarket. Well, TTFS is shipping HPFP upgrades for the N55 based on the XDI-HPFP-35 design which is tried and true in domestic applications.

The XDI35 pump applies to F-Series N55 models as well as the S55 in the F80 M3 and F82 M4. For the N55B30T0 in the F87 M2 there is a dual-HPFP solution based on the S55 factory design. The dual-pump design will support 620+ whp and can be applies to most N55's if they have the Bosch factory design.

Keep in mind TTFS and their software makes this all possible:

Our extensive work with Xtreme-DI has revealed this pump can expand the tuning and performance opportunity of your N55 motor. This is a complete bolt on upgraded and comes with everything needed to make installation easy.

The installing of the pump is fairly easy but, it must be accompanied by custom base tuning to work correctly which, is also included and you can use our tuning services for performance tuning or have your preferred tuner (i.e. BM3, MHD, TTFS) take your N55 to the next level with this brilliant upgrade!

Maximum Rail Pressure 200bar / 2900psi (like OEM)

Fuel Compatibility: all known fuels, all Ethanol blends

      Mechanical Data Geometric Pump Capacity 1.22cc (OEM = 0.897cc > +36% capacity)
To get your working pump you will need to through TTFS and no to Xtreme-DI directly.

As for results of the pump in action, Active Autowerke got 422 whp out of this F22 M235i with a Pure Stage 2 upgrade as measured on their conservative Mustang dyno. Previously, they could only hit 375 rwhp on the direct injection system:

It will be interesting to see what kind of direct injection only results N55 owners get once running these upgraded pumps.

Or what? You'll go to a competitor's pump?

Nope, just keep Band-Aiding with port injection.

Yep, that's pretty much the only other option.
