Got it. I saw what you use on your BEF car, which map do you currently use? Do not use those maps that you provide? I forgot to reply in the previous message. I'm Brazilian, I speak Portuguese .. lol

Hey Sticky, I have built several N54 engines using Pure Performance Motorsport low comp' pistons and have seen excellent results, with zero evidence of forged piston induced "false knock" that other people have occasionally reported with built motors using pistons from other manufactures. I'm Thomas's go-to-go in Aus when local customers are looking for N54 PPM parts, I routinely keep PPM rod and piston sets in stock so Thomas will always refer them to me first. If any U.S. based customers are interested in PPM hardware feel free to shoot me a PM for pricing and availability. Cheers, Justin. P.S. Thomas/PPM also supplied me with with Rally/Race CAT cams and I can tell you they do work, however I suspect the large duration cams would benefit from a stock compression ratio engine as we ran out of Vanos table adjustment before the cams were properly dialled in. However we made more power at the same or less boost pressure, with the engine also holding power all the way to 7,200rpm, albeit with a loss of turbo spool speed. P.P.S. The Stage 3 v3 ball bearing turbos we were also testing on the same 1M have been performing beyond my expectations to be honest, lol. At some point I'll start a product thread to discuss the turbocharger hardware but I almost couldn't be bothered dealing with the interjections of other turbo vendors on this forum (which undoubtedly will take place, not naming names, haha) until I'm supremely confident in their reliability and not just their power making capability. :-)

I’m not a wagon guy, but some of these performance wagons look really good! If I really needed the functionality of a wagon, I could definitely live with something like the E63 AMG wagon. Awesome car... This 3 series wagon looks really good too. It’s a shame they won’t be offering it here.

The F31 sold very poorly but itís not surprising when you look at how expensive it was and how limited the model offering was. It was absurd how easily you could get over $60k for a 4 cylinder 3 series wagon...who the hell wants to buy that? Of course youíd go for the X3 instead. My dad left the dealership with his 2015 X5 xDrive 35i for less than $55k brand new...If we had a reasonably priced 330i or at least a 340i that was priced close to the 340i sedan, they may have actually moved some more units. Iím actually looking to get a new wagon in this price range for my fiancee, G21 wagon would have been our first choice but weíre most likely going for a Volvo V60 instead as itís my favorite of what is available. The US market overall definitely prefers other vehicles over wagons but I think thatís partly because the few German wagons weíve had in recent years were not priced to move at all.

You may have noticed Hydra Motor Works marketing at the expense of others online. It recently started with some shots lobbed at Cobb Tuning. Now their customer @cosmo is running around the forums claiming is trying to steal their software and bricking ECU's. This is absurd to anyone who reads this forum as they know I am not a tuner. Gintani tuned my originally on methanol and 91 octane with upgraded turbos (the first in the world to do so) over eight months ago. Since then I have done too many WOT pulls to count, 1/4 mile runs, and 60-130 pulls and the car runs like a champ. It is the most powerful 991.2 3.0 in the world making 540 whp on a Mustang dyno until someone proves otherwise. That is on the stock intercoolers, stock headers, and 91 octane pump fuel by the way. The only issue is a CEL due to no cats (which is normal with modern ECU's) and a TPMS fault as I am not running the factory rims with TPMS sensors but aftermarket 19 inch drag radials. Anyone is free to call up Gintani and verify this information. Anyone is free to look at the video and see the car pulls like a freight train on Gintani's tune. It is hardly sitting anywhere with a 'bricked ECU' waiting to rip off Hydra's software that is far behind anyway with development on this hardware. Anyone is free to visit VF-Engineering and test drive the car next month after it gets Tial Sport intercoolers, inlets, headers, and a dyno tune revision. works diligently developing and testing hardware and software to go with it for the 991.2 3.0 platform doing so since 2017. has more miles on a turbo upgraded 991.2 3.0 than anyone else in the world. will not stand for this defamation and will forward all correspondence to its legal team. What Hydra's customer posted is flat out libel: It is amazing a grown man would take it upon himself to try to damage someone's business online with lies and insults. If the defamatory remarks are not publicly retracted we will proceed with defamation proceedings.

To revive this thread: Has anyone actually tried turbo blankets with the N54 with data to show oil or coolant temp increases? I wonder if they would be fine with an upgraded rad and extra oil cooler.

Hey Tony any updates? Also I saw on your website you guys had this listed "VTT custom reverse wheels" for the turbo, what's the difference between the VTT reverse wheels and the reverse wheel Garrett offers for the gtx 3076r? And why not use the Garrett ones? But in essence the oem Garrett ball bearings and center cartridge is still utilized, while you guys made new housings for the turbo + new wheels? Hopefully it spools close to what an ear can do, that'd be amazing. Anyways looking forward to updates on an ewg model, I'd love to have a set on my m2.
