    better start fabricating your own parts then because this guy has positioning himself to be a big player in the B58 supra aftermarket. I think anyone who has worked on engines could've foreseen these results. A lot of money was put into unnecessary items and r&d was put into into fabricating parts for future needs rather than actually hitting 1000whp. This is just "stage 1." He has done more with the B58 in <1yr than people have done with the N54 in 12yrs lol

    Several people have recently posted that BPC swapped an N52 exhaust cam into their N55. One person went as far as to claim they saw 100whp gains on the dyno. This claim of course led to lots of bs and claims of click-bait. Most important of the arguing was to find out what exactly an n52 exhaust cam in an n55 would do that might result in a gain. The exhaust cam ledges all appear to be the same part number. So, the cams will all physically interchange. Other issues can still present them-self such as spring travel and mechanical interference with the head/ledge. Seeing as how it's a working swap, these concerns appear moot. The valve springs have enough travel for several mm more lift. They will likely fatigue faster though as they are pushed past their intended stroke. The hydraulic lifters also become a question mark that not many have looked into. I believe I've read the pistons don't have to be fly-cut until you starts getting into the range of 11mm+ of lift. This swap works though for all intents and purposes of squeezing out a bit more power. CobraMarty had posted up a bit of information here as he explored aftermarket cam options to match exhaust lift with his "MILV" intake lift modification: https://www.boostaddict.com/showthread.php?94089-N52-N54-and-N55-EXHAUST-Camshafts Having an N55 cam in hand, I took a look at some of the currently available information and compared it to my own measurements. I then ordered up an N52 cam and did the same comparison. Some of the information posted in the above thread appears to have been speculation without actual measurements of the rotating assembly for each engine being referenced. Namely, the N55 cam measurements and rocker ratio. While I agree that the N52 and N54 rocker ratio is 1.66, I measured the N55 cam and deduced the rocker ratio to be 1.72. The part numbers also suggest that the N55 uses different rockers (rollers). N52 and N54 vehicles use the same rollers but the N55 part number is different. Why am I talking about roller ratio? Because this ratio directly impacts the amount of valve lift produce by the cam (valve lift = roller ratio * cam lift). They came up with 1.66:1 for the N54: The N55 cam profile has been provided by BMW in the N55 engine PDF: While each engine produces very similar exhaust profiles in their respective engine, the finding pertaining to the N55 rocker ratio suggests that, by swapping an N52 exhaust cam into an N55, the resulting valve lift will indeed be higher. The number crunching can be seen in the screenshot of my quick Excel spreadsheet posted above. I found that this mod would result in about 10mm of lift which is .3mm more than stock. This additional lift is a marginal gain compared to even a mild aftermarket street cam. More information would be needed in order to determine exactly how the cam swap would effect overlap and duration. We would need a plot of the N52 cam installed in an N55 engine. Then, overlay this plot over the N55 stock cam profile that BMW provided. The obvious guess would be that it would be increased on both ends. The problem with this is that with a high exhaust back-pressure ratio hybrid turbo like a PS2 more overlap is not necessarily a good thing. The slightly earlier opening of the exhaust valve will also have pretty much 0 measurable impact on whp figures. Overall, the cam swap does do something in an N55, but not much. Definitely not 100whp with a PS2. More like 5whp if you're lucky. I would even guess that reality is a loss of top-end whp due to the increased overlap (this is said within the context of a maxed out PS2 setup). I did not go as far as to measure out an N53 cam, but, it has been posted that cam lift is .232" (no idea if this is accurate) which when combined with the N55 roller ratio of 1.72 would produce .39904" of lift or 10.13mm. Another .1mm of lift, or .43mm over stock 9.7mm. The other interesting take-away from all of this though is that the same small gain would be seen by N54 and N52 owners by utilizing N55 rollers. That is, if my measurements are accurate... I was measuring off a used cam, but, I can't imagine I am off by much. Just though I would share what I learned from this as the measurements points out that some of what is out there is wrong and also that there is opportunity here for others. That is, if you can find N55 rollers and have the skills to swap them in. For the price of a valve cover gasket you can get a slight exhaust lift mod.

    Fyi, I had FBO and flexfuel and xhp and a Propuslive Dynamics transmission and for two years it would not shoft right....no help from xhp at all. Then finally arrived at correct xhp settings. Maximum shift speeds set on stage 3 xhp amd now trans shifts fine. Pure stage 2 intalling this weekend and will update with transmission reaction soon. I have precision raceworks stage 3 lpfp BPM4 lpfp controller Bmp port injection Flexfuel PR Coils Ngk one step colder at .25
