Nope, not at all. It always does this on every cold start. On warm start i get a weird sound that lasts for like 2 or 3 seconds and goes away. Kind of like a bad tensioner sound.

In that price range (~80-120k) I would get a 575m, but I prefer the GT style more. Its really about what you feel will make you the happiest. I agree with the F430>360 sentiment.

Their intake numbers are inline with what MMP has for theirs. Their exhaust numbers are a bit higher - I wonder if they flow tested the exhaust with a pipe. How much is the Doc Race ported head and what is included? MMP's is 2K which isn't awful, but cylinder head porting prices are absurd to me for Euro and imports. You can get a set of CNC'd LS heads dirt cheap - and there are 2 of them, so arguably twice as long on the CNC. I couldn't find anything on Doc Race's website for the head. Were they testing their own or a VAC head?

Take a look at Renntech's R3 offering for the Mercedes-AMG C190 AMG GT S. Renntech offers a full carbon fiber body kit along with Performance Series 10.2 Forged Wheels. This is not all show and no go however as the M178 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 gets some serious upgrades. The Renntech R3 M178 turbo upgrade package boosts output to 670 horsepower to the wheels. That is a lot of power for pump gas. The body kit itself is gorgeous and works really well on a black car obviously. The wheels are produced by Vossen for Renntech and include a 19 inch and 20 inch rear. Just an awesome and well rounded offering from Renntech for the AMG GT. 761 HP | 632 LB-FT - ECU Upgrade - Stainless Steel Downpipes w/200 Cell Cats - Stage II Turbocharger Upgrade - BOV Adapter - Air Filter - Fuel System Upgrade RENNtech Performance Series 10.2 Forged Wheels 19" x 9.5" | 20" x 11.5" Finished in Space Grey w/Polished Wheel by Vossen Wheels Full Carbon Fiber Aero Package - Front Splitter - Side Rocker Panels - Rear Diffuser - Rear DTM Style Wing

Mcchip-DKR is a German tuner who is now offering a turbo upgrade for the BMW S55 3.0 liter inline-6. The problem? They are asking a bunch of money and providing no proof it works. Still, this may be an option that is interesting at least to European members. We say European members because there is really no reason for anyone in the USA to opt for it. It's more expensive at 4800+ Euros than tried and tested S55 turbo upgrades already on the market in the US. Additionally, there is no proof the turbos actually hit 740 horsepower. For some reason many European tuners just expect us to take their word for it. That is not how it works in the USA. We expect to see results. This seems like too little, too expensive, and too late. Turbocharger upgrade designed for powers up to approx. 740 hp * Optimized inlet and outlet side Optimized gap dimensions Reinforced bearings Improved thermals Higher load capacity flameproof More efficient turbine geometry

A custom dyno tune is the way to go but tuner ability certainly varies. Solo Motorsports does tuning on various platforms with some admirable results to share but these numbers seem a bit low. Their dyno is a Mustang dynamometer so it is a bit more conservative than a Dynojet but comparing the numbers here to what Cobb and GIAC get out of the Macan S show Solo Motorsports getting comparatively modest gains: Comparing different dynos in different conditions is not a perfect science but a gain of only 15 awhp is relatively small on the platform. Obviously the majority of the gains come early in the rev range with a substantial torque increase but Cobb is picking up 37% horsepower over stock.

A very, very impressive 1/4 mile pass from BenzBoost member @munis and his W205 Mercedes-AMG C43. The car is tuned with a BMS (Burger Tuning) Stage 1 box and the results on the 3.0 liter M276 DELA30 turbo V6 are remarkable. This is the new M276 turbo V6 platform 1/4 mile record: A 121 mph trap is very impressive and essentially Porsche Carrera S territory. It also puts the car on par with a C63 AMG if not even slightly ahead. The mod list is just the BMS Stage I tune and higher octane fuel said to be roughly 94 octane. It will be interesting to see what more there is to get out of it.

For over $30,000 dollars ABT will upgrade your B9 Audi RS5 into a RS5-R and honestly, it's a rip off. They bump output to 530 horsepower but considering nobody seems to have the EA839 2.9 liter twin turbo V6 ECU cracked yet you are paying a lot of money for a piggyback. They include all kinds of other useless bells and whistles in the package: So over $30k for a piggyback, body kit, wheels, springs, and interior bits? Which likely will slow you down a bit with increased drag and big, heavy wheels? RS4/RS5 owners are better off waiting for a proper tune which will blow this package away at a fraction of the cost. You can get an idea of the acceleration below:

Not the MSM :P You're right. You will now see me advocating for self-driving cars and abolishing all gas guzzlers due to climate change. If you disagree I will ban you unless you tow the MSM party line. I don't use my site to push political agendas (*cough* Jalopnik *cough*). I actually do what the media is supposed to do which is report what is going on.

Finally we have had a chance to throw the Weistec M4 back on the dyno and net some more tune time for our recently released S55 F8x ECU Flash. Before this session we added some Downpipes and an AWE Exhaust, but left it completely stock otherwise. Weistec Engineering S55 F8x Dyno Results With this latest rendition, we were able to net an additional 40whp over our 100% stock tune, while really fine tuning the torque curve to provide stronger, more consistent power delivery and more area under the curve over all. Many S55 tunes suffer from a dip in torque between 3250rpm and 4250rpm where the power simply falls flat (or even drops!) resulting in acceleration feeling more sluggish and reducing overall available power. Our latest rendition solves this problem while retaining nearly the same peak torque figures within the same RPM ranges, smoothing and increasing power delivery, and creating even more usable power! Original, Stock Weistec Flash: 464whp / 573wtq** This tune on a stock vehicle is very impressive and has very high peak torque, but we didn't have time to perfect the torque curve. New Weistec Flash with Downpipe & Exhaust: 501whp / 553wtq** This latest addition fixes the aforementioned torque dip creating more linear power delivery and even harder acceleration! Overall, there is more area under the curve resulting in more torque for every rpm- even 50ft lbs more @ 7000rpm! Map Features: GTS "Burbles": Off, Mild, Aggressive Cold Start: On/Off Removed speed limiter Peak gains up to 100whp and 180wtq** **Power gains are different per vehicle due to parts installed, engine health, mileage, etc. About Us: We at Weistec are focused on maximizing the potential for every platform we touch and specialize in new engine performance products and tuning. The entire media industry imploding would be the best thing that could happen. Bunch of leeches who think they are smarter than everyone else and should tell us what to think. The MSM, sports media, Hollywood, etc., burn it all to the ground.
