No clue. Competitive drifting is about as gay as competitive masturbation imo -- still appreciate the builds though...

Not surprised, Apex seems to be doing all the top Pectel work with BMW's.

We currently have MOTEC, Vi-PEC and Pectel projects in our shop. We've gotten a lot of attention in the BMW community which is interesting as its not even our biggest market. We also support Pectel, Bosch & MOTEC systems in AMA Superbike, Grand American Road Racing and the American Le Mans Series.

There's a lot going on 'round here, check out some more at www.apexspeedtech.com!

Yes, have done it before, but the transmission would be a very weak point.

Nope because I've seen stock N/A cars fail when those were raced.... doesn't seem nearly capable enough for a turbo car.

This car is the second one we've done for GSR - the first had a V10 with our standalone kit. Our S54 kit, as used by GSR, allowed them to transplant a turbo S54 straight into this chassis and go racing. The engine is an unopened, bone stock 60,000 mile boneyard motor with 1600cc injectors, a custom turbo setup and our electronics package. This is what I'm talking about when I compare our work to reflashed stock ECUs & piggybacks. No doubt that there are some applications where those are appropriate solutions, but this car is run hard 100% of the time. Boost control, throttle control, rev limiters - they are all super-critical. To have full control over how these work is important for good performance.

Wow thanks for the update ....

How is gtx35 spooling ? When does it give peak boost and when does it drop? Does it go all the way up to 8k rpm?

How do you think gtx37 would be for a track car?

    Thanks Neel !

The GTX35 seems to work well. I didn't tune it so I'm not too sure, but I'll ask.

Thank you, also bigger turbo would spool slower and due to this car would have better traction when having the same peak hp right?

I am planing to use on low boost and since i will use on stock CR, my car wont lack acceleration without boost on low rpms. I dont want the turbo to kick in right after i exit the corner on track.

Does this make sense or am i missing something?

Also do you think a high boosting smaller turbo or a big turbo with less boost would be more reliable? or would they be same since they both flow the same amount of air ?

    Thanks

What kind of standalone or piggyback would suggest for a hpf kit. Lots of people are looking at the proefi but i need to see more. After my hpf2.5 warrenty is up I might look around for different ecu.

Car is daliy driver now but in year or so it won't. PM me if you like.

Could you guys set me up with something nice and tune it? Pm me please
