    yah. old one looked big when i bought but when this one came in the mail. we were like ..... yeaaaah. inlet side of the charger makes a huge difference on boost. i tried using a 3" flex hose to install the new filter at first and the car would barely hit boost with a max of like 3-4psi. then i switched to the ESS 3.5" hose that they overnighted us yesterday and the car hits boost properly. i couldnt tell if it will get to 7.5 psi because the road was way too wet...

    it most certainly does. find other cars that have 35x Tq and 5xx hp at about 3500 lbs 120 is spot on, maybe add 1-2 mph for better traction and thats right where it should be optimally

    I agree 118-119 is low, that car has more in it but your friends was around where it should be considering he didn't even break 500 whp, right?

    This guy had trouble shifting into 3rd so I'll give him that he could improve.

    DCT cars aren't all 10 mph faster, when ran normally as they should be ESS DCT cars are running 124-125 with meth and 122 or so without.

    The cars running 130 have meth and higher boost + DCT. It all adds up...

    im not gonna get into it with you as you clearly know everything better. i've been drag racing on street and track for a while and i've been using the same dynojet since '05 and i know that cars that do 500whp there go faster then 119mph. i've been straight about what i think the contributing factors were and what i thought needed to change. if you wish to take my 11.9@118.6 as the full potential of a 500whp m3 and if you think that an extra 165whp over stock only yield the car 5-6mph on the 1/4.....lol

    It should yield more than that but it makes you wonder, doesn't it? Two cars now doing this? Doesn't seem like a leak, at least to me.

    the math is simple though, 3600lb car, 350tq 49x hp PEAK traps about 120, maybe 121. power delivery is not in favor for the M's in drag racing

    i streetraced as younger man myself, and been drag racing for just as long, so what, 12 yrs now?

    it didnt have a leak when i ran it or at least it wasnt as major as it is now. it literally only gets to 4psi at redline now

    that would indicate a boost leak, but im surprised there is no fault code or limp mode though. wouldnt that greatly affect the AFR's and other parameters?

    Yes, but that leak took place after the installation of this new filter.
