I've got a 2 year, which is one year in. May take the ride - as you say, "take it out of my hair".

By all means...you will have to deal with the SES light for a bit, but Im sure Terry can come out with something in the next year or so to help keep the 02 sensor happy. Or you could just switch up to the catted DP Click here to enlarge

it does but it just sets all the monitors to not ready. And when monitors are not ready, its pretty much the same as not passing....our emissions are checked via the OBD port. O2 sensor, O2 heater, catalyst, secondary air, and evap emissions all have to be 'ready' for the car to pass.

Matt, any word on AR in the X5 / 535 arena? DO we (I) need to start a collection to get a stock pipe purchased and sent to AR?

nothing yet. AR design has been swamped with doing some other things.

Weve been working the bugs out on the catted DP, not out of the woods just yet.

It really wakes up the beast to have twin 3" mufflers under there. Took quite a bit of work to get them to fit in there with no crazy bends, but it does and I had my friend TiG weld it all together.

Its surprisingly not all that loud either.

looks amazing, but a lingering question for me is why not use a single muffler into a Y to the tips? I'm kind of waiting on the exhaust to see how it sounds with the DP's first. I really don't want to do this twice since I use it to tow my z4 to the track with my family in transit...wifes already pissed that the z4m is loud and stiff

I think a Single would be too loud for your wife, if she's complaining about your Z4... I think you'll find duals much more wife compliant. Really need to get a Sound Clip... My phones recording doesn't do it justice... Matt, next time I visit the shop, need to see about doing a clip, if possible.

Sticky, he's Towing his Z4m with his X5. They are rated for 5-6k towing capacity.

Until recently a single in/2 out muffler wasnt offered. I was on Vibrants site the other day and they now have the muffler for sale, the same one that is used in the AMS exhaust systems...3" in and either 2.5s or 3" out.

That muffler is very quiet, I think with the DP on an X5 it shouldnt be bad at all.
