RB Turbo and JB4 Dyno Tuning Today!

I wanted to get some good info with the JB4, and being the upstanding legal/moral citizen I am, wanting to keep it clean on the streets Click here to enlarge the Dyno is the best option.

What im going to do is just post the mods/conditions ect, and the post each dyno with the log to match. Ill leave the questions up to you guys Click here to enlarge

    Temps 44* outside/ 65* inside shop
    Mods- RB Turbo's,JB4,FBO,meth
    Fuel-Straight ms109 , 95/5% meth/water
    Dyno Location- Radical Racing-Atco Nj

Things changed since last dyno session
    - replaced single m10 meth nozzle with 2 CM10 meth nozzles
    - replaced Miltek catless exhaust for Vanguard catless exhaust

*This thread may need to be edited a few minutes after posting as i may be confused as to which logs correspond to what runs*

Highest run Vs TODAYS baseline- as it should be. Dyno baselines from before are rarely accurate, or at least not as accurate as should be. Now you know what i gain over stock tuning with every available mod*

Well.. there you have it Keep in mind the baseline is fully modded, with RB's and straight MS109 fuel.

i think this is a good viewpoint to see where we are currently limited.

More technical people than i can discuss what was good, what was bad (if anything, besides AFR's obviously) and where we can go from here

Click here to enlarge Fueling really needs to be adressed.... I might dyno mine next friday but i wont go for the glory dyno. 18 psi pump + meth max. My ported head should allow the same power on lower boost.
Anyway congrats on the results !

Looks good to me, I'll promote it up to the front unless there is anything to add?

Their heads would help you make more power at less boost... more efficient. I think I could nudge them into giving you a good deal if the whole process was documented well like this is.

great numbers LM, 500 wheel is a nice bar. my only qualm is that you stop the dyno short of 7k. on race fuel you should be making peak power at peak or near peak rpm or sustain it not 1k shy and then drop off like it is. its sure better than stock turbo drop off, but i guess i expected RB's to deliver more up at 6000+. or is it that you lower the boost after 6000 on purpose? or maybe the dyno fan was not adequate and you couldnt pull in enough air?

looking back, one of your 17 and 18psi maps holds power much better up top, so im not sure what to say.

    Great numbers.

it was risky enough with those AFR's how far do you really want to me to push my luck?

and im not sure what your getting at with the rpm thing. i let it rip until it shifted, the shop owner was running the dyno though, so maybe a bit of "miscommunication"? im pretty sure he didnt stop it till after it went to shift...

hey if the tune is all its hyped to be i doubt AFR is the concern, you were monitoring it with a pipe sniffer it seems so i dont see you pushing your luck.

and i forgot you are auto, it always seems to slip my mind, so it shifts early? thats interesting, you learn something new everyday. and i guess they put a taper on the tune before the shift as to not spike, which is why it drops off suddenly. so maybe with a manual we would see power to redline, or at least sustained. im now interested to see a manual RB turbo dyno Click here to enlarge no offence to you or your car, you made great numbers like i said, and your car performs, we all have seen the videos Click here to enlarge and that was on jb3 right? you should ask for a re-run Click here to enlarge

Not sure if this is a ridiculous question or not, but can the JB4 raise the rev limiter or not?

No we can't. But he should really be shifting @ 6500rpm or less anyway. Click here to enlarge
