Sure you could always save $30k, if you want your car slow as piss.

In that case I would go to another make and get a turbo 4-banger. Better gas mileage and modability.

I just think the M3 interior should get a lot more goodies. Alcantara all over and REAL carbon fiber instead of that ridiculous cf look trim and the BMW performance seats standard.

I would like for the M3 interior to have more to differentiate it from the base models.

Actually, I find the quality of the Novillo leather in the M3 to be tangibly better than the leather in other 3 series. Can't see it from the two pics above, but I believe the 328 has less leather, and more pleather than the M3. It doesn't really show in the picture but the interior of the M3 just feels so much higher quality than the 328 IMO. I also prefer the CF leather over real (read hard) CF for the interior.

But, I agree with Sticky, there should be more visual differences between the M3 and other 3 series. For one, I'd like the option of "full" leather and having an Alcantara headliner. If you've ever experienced the Alcantara headliner in the E39 M5 you'd know what I'm talking about. Or perhaps more two-tone leather options. The two-tone options they offer now are bit tame. They should be more sporty. Or a two-tone leather and alcantara that is carried over to the shift and brake boots and maybe even the steering wheel. They don't seem to have too much imagination when it comes to the M3 (or any BMW) interior.

My old man has a Designo S63. I know what a good interior is supposed to be and the M3 is $#@! in comparison. I had an S550 and the difference between the S550 interior and the Designo S63 is astronomical. It should be the same between a 328 and a M3.

BMW individual is the answer to designo.
