    Hpf Stage 2.5 M3 vs Procharged Ls3 C6

    Just snooping around youtube and came over this... pretty much what I expected tho but damn that vette is fast.

    yea, i think that is stock motor and i think you're right on 700whp i think i saw that car on the forums stating that.

    I remember that vid and the discussion afterwards, the owner of the Vette says he's at 740whp, but some think he's around 800whp, lol. What is interesting is the SC'd Vette had done multiple 60-130 runs, and his best time at that whp, was 5.89s, the HPF 2.5 did it in 5.61s, go figure.

    Well just goes to show that comparing 60-130 runs arbitrarily can be misleading. A car that runs 5.xx in certain conditions may not run them in others. Just because one time is hit does not mean it is always hit, people seem to struggle with grasping this.

    Nothing better than a head to head run in the same conditions to show how it really is.

    I'm guessing the Vette is on a built motor though if it is putting out that much power and double digit boost?

    yea i heard that too. very strong internals they like to get beat up. over 1000whp is when you'll need forged internals.

    Are you sure about the LS2's?

    The LS3's are stronger, I know that, but damn, impressive. Seems the LS3 can take a bit more boost on stock internals than the LS7 can which makes sense considering the compression ratio difference and the LS7's thin cylinder walls. Seems GM knew what they were doing with the LS9 being based on the LS3.

    I met the owner at a C&C in Dallas, he said it has a stock head. That car flat out moves. I was amazed at how hard it pulled on Scotts HPF 2.5.

    Can't wait to see the rematch once he gets his motor back from HPF.

    People dont forget, that aerodynamics plays a huge role in a race like this when going past 100 mph. The vette is a highway king because it is so efficient with the power it makes at those speeds. It doesnt take away from the fact that the vette is fast as $#@! anyway.

    Good point, in the 2nd vid it's a pretty clear pull right away, but obviously the M3 is out of it's PB, I'd love to see a rematch. I have been wondering what Scott is up too, always love his vids, approach etc, awesome enthusiast.
