xHP E9X automatic TCU flash demo on on diesel BMW N57 (325d/330d/335d)

Automatic TCU flash tuning for E9X BMW's including diesel N57's and gasoline N54/N55's is almost here. xHP is working diligently and as this demo shows their product is working. This software is not complete but you can already see the shifts are firmed up a bit.

The Race calibration sacrifices shift comfort in favor of quick and responsive gear changes in Manual + Sport mode. Shifts feel similar to a sporty Double-Clutch Transmission.
This is an Android based TCU flashing tool. You go into the app store can flash OTS (off the shelf) maps provided by xHP.

The launch for the N57/M57 diesel models is expected next month with the N54 and then N55 motors following in March.

This is great news! I would think this should work on an X35d as well?

I would think so. Haven't seen any testing for that but I think the N57 models use the same auto?

I think so, too. I think the N57 engines use the 6HP26 transmission so it should work. I am not sure if there are differences in software between BMW's different diesel vehicles though. I bet xHP knows for sure!

I'll be following this. Kind of a dream of mine to swap a N57 into a E92 chassis with a 6MT behind it. If they can flash the trans, then the ability to flash, and disable, it completely can't be far behind if not already available.

FWIW, remember guys the faster and "harder" an auto-tragic shifts, the longer lasting it will generally be, as it is slipping its interior clutch packs less.
