Browsing is great, its the typing that kills me. Click here to enlarge

On another note. David @ HPF just emailed me and let me know my car did 299.8 on the dyno (uncorrected) which he says is crazy power for a N/A stock M3. Which confirms my belief that either my car was tuned from the factory a little more than normal, or the previous owner did something to it.. The car was prestine when I bought it, still had all the factory stickers on the windows/etc.. I mean mint.. condition.. nothing was done to it.. completely unmolested.

My buddy has a Z4M and his car has always felt a bit slower on my butt dyno.. and he's concured after riding in mine. Both completely stock.

Well, likely corrected it is in the 270's which is where you should be. Don't go with uncorrected results I wouldn't look at them as support for being a factory freak.

    UPDATE!

Cyl #4 had a "melted piston"... Still waiting on flux to tell if the block is good, should be. Here are some pics of the block, pistons, and head. Motor is going to the machine shop ASAP and cyl head is getting a valve adjustment. Sub frame is complete with reinforcement kit, and bushings.

I heart car porn wednesdays! That was your car on the 3rd lift right? With the nitrous? Looks great.. AW is the only other color M3's I'd get, and may get an AW convertible down the road for a daily driver.

Yeah, that's mine, thanks for the complements. I can't wait to see it finished. I think the black anodized intercooler is going to look nice.

Wow...that's one lean cylinder #4. That plug looks like it already started to melt?

Good thing you're doing the engine build...you can see the ring land on the piston #4 is already started to fragment. Scary.

    Nice Pictures.

Severly uneven distribution of nitrous will cause that.

Very interesting! Definitely a turbo manifold, cast too -- but not the one already made by AA:

Considering HPF used to have an exclusive deal with SteedSpeed, but Steedspeed is now selling the manifolds online (for $450 less than HPF), maybe this is something they've been working on.

Or maybe its just the RHD manifolds?

I bet you're right about that. Maybe they decided to test fit it on his motor since it's out of the car.
