Well that's the point, how can you claim they can do it when they haven't and those who have struggle with it?

The number of different cars they have tuned over the years has given them a ton of knowledge on so many different applications...They may not have done an S54, given the time i bet they could...

When i look at how good someone is as a tuner, i look at how fast the cars they have tuned are and how long they last, and also the cost... Both of them have tuned numerous 8 sec cars... these are guys that are tuning cars EVERY day, not every once in a while...

Agreed Sticky! That is crazy, to say such a blanket statement! I would almost go as far to say that maybe tuning a car was tuning a car maybe in the early 90's! But today with all the crazy mi-vec, vanos, sequential timing etc etc tuning lambos, versus tuning bmw is like comparing Earth to Mars they are totally diff. Not to mention that it has been damn near 10 years for people like HPF to come out with a tuning solution for the e46 m3 platform! I respect what you have to say Grintogera you do have vast knowledge but i think you are comparing apples to oranges!

Well i do not really want to shoot out numbers i paid, as i am not sure what platform you and Neel are talking about: Pectel alone has so many add ons, and extras it really depends. But if money is not really tight i would look at Pectel it has been damn near flawless! And like i sadi Neel is awesome! If you have any specific questions regarding Neel or Apex just pm me!

I've been talking to Basar already. I've recommended that he works with Mick Kehl in Prague on the Pectel systems. He and I work closely together and his geographic location makes it a lot easier to support him.

Very interesting. I've also heard great things about John Reed. With the rep Varian's Supra has around here, you know he's good Click here to enlarge.

Very interesting, but he was not able to do it with the stock ecu either?

Doubt he tried. I'm sure sticking with known people & hardware was appealing at a time when BMW had just ruined HPF's plans by introducing the 335i (HPF had already turbocharged the wildly popular introductory E90 330i, but that model ended up being a 1 year-only bastard so HPF didn't bother finalizing tuning).

I don't remember, was than an M52 or N52 when it was 330i in the E90?

    I didn't even know HPF turbo'd it.

That is a lot of development to just abandon. The N52 is in quite a bit of cars...
