The only reason it is so hard to turbo an e46 m3 is because their owners are such pussies.

I mean really. Who else in the world would expect to pump over 600 horsepower out of a stock engine, with the stock ecu, on PUMP gas, AND expect to not have ANY check engine lights.

    All while still passing emissions.

    WTF, people.

In the real world, modding a car creates compromises.

So are you saying that in order for M3 owners to modify their cars, they need to get sex changes?

    HPF and their customers do

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand there hasn't been 1 stock motor'd HPF kit to make 600whp on pump fuel period. Race+meth yes.

I would, why not? S65 has been there done that.

I don't expect a turbo S54 to do it without compromises though...

So your magic kit is going to make
600rwhp stock motor?? Hpf first car made more hp bit the detuned to be reliable on street.
Why do you hate on hpf so much?

Its not my kit get it right Mario. No 1 is attacking HPF. I was SIMPLY stating it was not done on bump fuel alone on a stock motor. Get it?

I like HPF, but I'll be glad to see somebody else come into the market. The only thing that stops me from wanting an e46 M3 is that I can't drop 30k+ at once on a motor to get the performance out of it I'd want. I could spend less than half that and make a faster e36. Hopefully this new company will have a more reasonable price that an average guy like myself could one day purchase.

HPF has had a stranglehold on the market without any real competition. Their prices certainly have room to come down and if anyone actually can get a turbo to work on the factory DME that would be.. well, that would change things.

correct. stages are detuned incase you get bad petrol and go galavanting off in 110degree weather... then weep, beep and all that other e36 yoda jazz...
btw, my stage 2.5 doesn't make 600rw on pump fuel.
a stage 3 is the first stage that safely lands in the 600+ range if polluting the environment with added 'boosters' is your concern, meth is cheap and im addicted.
hey, technically its friday which means...

stage 2.75159..... dyno numbers should be out and that could put it into the 600+ on pump fuel also.

Seems like the pump fuel numbers are not much better then the 2.5 on pump.Click here to enlarge

Wonder what the numbers would look like on mine or MSpired's cars after an upgrade to the Stage 2.75. Both our Stage 2.5 dynos are a bit higher than Forcefed_M3's. I think my 2.5 numbers are stronger than his 2.75. Although, his race gas tune is stronger than mine.

That could be due to our exhaust setups and/or the use of carbon fiber intake. Probably other factors, as well.

I can't see myself dropping another 4k on this, though. I'm happy where I'm at.

I think Batta's numbers were also better on pump. Also again no wtq figures, and no rpms. I thought Chris was going to start including those for future dyno runs.

My pump gas number was 565. I still run stock coils unless hpf switched them. Which I doubt so I can get torque reading when I dyno. That's all e36 dudes care about because they make better torque.

Yes, but they rev lower and make less torque per pound of boost. It's an old argument.

Hrmmm 1 of the latest video's he mentioned he would be trying harder to get wtq figues.

Hrmmm. I think people who are into FI are into not just whp numbers. We are interested in whp, wtq, when full boost hits . How long it holds, and the rpm's where everything happens.

Insurgents? Interesting ur first posts here were attacks. Just for posting a kit is in the works for the e46 m3 that wasn't produced by HPF.
