    Building up a BMW SUV for actual Off-Road use - X-raid X3

Another thread started discussing using these SUV's for actual off-road work and it reminded me of the X3 X-raid used in the Dakar rally. I'll post more info on it shortly as I go dig it up as I don't remember all of it off the top of my head but here are is some footage of the thing in action along with pics:

Is there any way to actually purchase some of these off-road parts for the X3? My buddy has one and I'm very convincing......

You can build this thing yourself. We have some of the best off-road companies on the planet in the US, any of them could tackle this if you have the $.

I think it would be pretty cool to do a totally different project car than normal and build an X3 for off-road racing and enter a rally as an amateur. That would be badass.
