    Same boost same gas the JB4 dyno'd 408WHP and the V5 dyno'd 411WHP.

I mean .001 of correction factor could change that......

Exactly and it is a drivers race and comical.

I like how one guy says too bad for BMS over what, 3 whp that can vary from dyno pull to dyno pull? It isn't even worth wasting your time, really, you will just pull your hair out.

Yeah I started pulling my hair out once and actually went off on Formula M and got banned for a few months over it. It really is frustrating over there......

The discussion is more about the shape of the curve than the peak numbers.

It does look like the V5 has a midrange torque advantage. Regardless of the scaling, the V5 is making a lot more torque in the 3500-5000rpm range on these dynos. V5 also holds over 400whp between 5500 and 6300.

That said, it's all just talk since it's two different cars, different dynos, different conditions. To be honest the V5 and JB4 results look surprisingly similar and reflects the limits of tuning on a FBO pump gas car (one reason I think the people claiming COBB will change the world are crazy).

Exactly, with the differences of dyno and location, not to mention cars, the results are completely pointless for claiming superiority of one tune over the other.

That extra torque that you claim can be just from a different correction factor or a higher reading dyno. Not to mention it is difficult to visually compare curves when one is squished and the other is tall.

The real measure is in the driving feel and real world acceleration data, and even that has many variables. (1/4 mile, vbox, etc.)

It would be like me saying hey look, the JB4 spooled to peak torque 800rpm sooner. Different cars, different mods, different baselines, etc. Actually the map 2 run we had posted there represents what the average customer can expect to make on that 14.5psi taper to 12psi at redline map out of the box. That map 6 was just an experiment pushing it a bit on the dyno to see how much room is left. And clearly there is more left in there on pump gas but people should realize the power limits were found years ago. Collectively tuners are just working on ways to repackage the same general performance in a safer and more user friendly way.

It's great when a tuner posts a 400rw dyno chart. I can do it all day long. But then when the customer falls so far short of that it does make you wonder sometimes.

    Right now I have 12 tabs because I just closed a bunch ( I had more )

sometimes I have to open more browsers, so I'll have 3 different browsers, multiple windows and a bunch of tabs on each.

I might pick up a 1M from there if they are competitive enough with pricing. They can sell at a lower margin than the local Corpus Christi dealership because of the higher volume, I guess.

I'll be sure to pick up two of them. Click here to enlarge

I'm a little surprised that tune vs. tune dyno runs don't get published more.

Not by the tuners since they would have everything to lose and little to gain, but by guys in the same area doing a dyno day. It would be pretty easy to do back to back, same car runs of a JB4 and V5 if you can get the right guys together and would be very interesting to see.
