French customs man... They are relentless, especialy for huge packages like single turbo kits.
I'm gonna end up paying 25% if not more in import taxes. Which is way too much for already high priced kits.
I mean look at manifolds prices for other brands inline 6...

Can't you just tell them you're importing freedom? I mean from all the refugee problems I've heard from France and others in the EU I'm kinda surprised you guys ever bother with customs, doesn't seem like it's helping much.

We are paying the price for what USA (and the allies) are doing to all the middle eastern coutries... I guess if there was no oil in the region we wouldn't even hear about it.
I fear the day when you will need cheese and wine...

ps: Yeah, customs are retarded. But again, they are only doing their jobs, the job of being $#@!s.

I kind of noticed the change when I last visited (when France hosted the world cup).

Paris was just filled with people trying to sell me stuff. Nobody even looked French. Whatever, it's probably worse now.

Yes its the cost of value added tax plus the duty taxes and that VAT is charged on cost of goods + cost of shipping + cost of insurance, officially. At 20%! Plus where 1 was $2 it's almost 1:1 these days.

The refugees are a diversion, so the government can pretend fixing the problem while not taking care of the real issues. Same strategy used everywhere in the world.

Yes, but just think. If France leaves, the Euro currency would collapse. There'd be even greater panic and recession in Europe.
It's too big to fail on steroids. Never mind global businesses. This is entire countries. A continent that would fail.
The pound could likely be insulated but not immune. It's a real mess.

I'm sure you could find someone to declare a low dollar value on the customs paperwork for you to keep the cost of the import taxes down. That happens all the time.

    Hum, thats a tough one.

    The freakin useless Euro
    Unemployement
    Social inequalities
    Economy
    Climat change
    Pollution (air, noise, light, trash...)
The corrupting and destructing banking system
Corruption amongst politicians and in general
    Cost of living
    Consumerism
    Wars (for profit)

The list goes on and on but it's late an i'm tired.
Oh, and if you're in the USA add guns and cost of educations to the list.

Not all of those things apply to the US and I don't consider guns a problem but I do consider gang violence a problem.

Regardless, the world is certainly a bit of a mess.
