Looks cute.. Click here to enlarge

Looks like it will be getting a 345 hp tweaked N55... not bad at all.

Looks good, doesn't need the quad exhaust though, waste of metal unless it was a V engine. Just give us room for a 4" pipe from the turbo back, oh and room for a GTX4202R.......

Exactly.. I mentioned this to the N54 guys and some got it and some didn't. The N54 with the 335 seems to have the split at the manifold though but with the N55 a single exhaust is going to be much more efficient.

Keep in mind the other side may just be for looks... it can always be set up as a dummy.

    Re: BMW M1 rendering

I was looking for info online for this car. Does anyone know when it will go into production? I've read 2011, or beyond, that seems about right for the big transfer to FI engines with BMW.

It will be a 2011 model.

It will have a slightly tweaked N55 turbo.

It will have a limited slip differential and it seems both manual and DCT options.

Curb weight will be around ~3200.

Don't expect it until the end of year at the earliest.

That's what's going to suck with the new motors that we will be seeing. They will be the same motors with more boost. So you will only be buying an M over the standard model for the body, suspension and brakes, most of which are modified anyways. So, there is going to be no point to buying an M anymore :'(

That is pretty much what I was hoping for. If the physical size is equivalent to my E46 M3 I will be in the market.

It is a bit more diminutive than the E46 M3.

I parked next to a 135i a few weeks back and the sizes didn't seem that much different. It may be smaller but it sure doesn't look smaller when they are side by side.

Well then what the hell? Who was that guy claiming an M1 was coming with "ties" to BMW? Seems like it was all a publicity stunt now. Wow, all that speculation and supposed confirmation started by the other site only for it to have never been true to begin with.
