    Seafoam for DI Carbon Deposits

What does the community think of this? Would you use it in your 135i, etc?

Lots of people use this stuff. I would be careful with it because these newer cars have lots more sensors that may not like what they see after use. Have a BT tool handy incase you throw codes.

cute dog bro lol. but yea i have heard ppl using this for the carbon build up on the valves on my car.. did you put the seafoam thru the intake manifold vacuum line right?

ive heard to put it thru that and let it run for 3 minutes idle. then drive it hard as $#@! for the next 2 minutes to kick off anything htat is left.

and make sure you get an oil change asap!

i'm considering doing this soon to my car as well.. have you noticed any gains or your engine breathing better maybe?

IMO meth injection is the only way to go to keep those valves squeaky clean!

Even though this is more general moved to the N54 section since it primarily concerns N54 guys.

Seafoam is just an over-rated product and sells very well mainly because people want to believe in cheap fixes like this. I wouldn't be surprised if it has been tested for serious medical issues as well...

I pull the filter off my car and let the engine suck up a bucket of sand while i rev it. That actually helped clear off all the grime from my valves and polishes the ports.
