E30 M3 EVO compared to M3 GTS on track

Yes, it is in German, but you can see the comparison at the 6:00 minute mark. Obviously the GTS pulls past it easily even after the E30 gets a head start:

Ask my opinion about an e30 comparison, only answer you will get is ... the e30 is better... even if it aint. But a more serious answer would be i will take the e30. I would like to see this comparison with the 1M.

One of my few dreams is that BMW would build a very limited run of modernized upgraded e30 m3's. Upgraded with a s54, modern wheels, rubber, and aluminum suspension, carbon roof and a modern brake kit. Keep all the techno jumbo and put a large price tag on it.

This... is one of my dreams as well.

There was a rumor about it happening a long time ago but it was just a prank pulled by somebody.

I don't understand why car companies do not do this. People release vintage offerings all the time. Vintage style jerseys, shoes, soft drinks, beers, etc. Why car companies don't tap into their own history for limited releases with updated parts beats me. A modern E30 M3 is just... ok, I'm excited.

Yeah, so what? It's probably still more fun to drive than the GTS. Even though I haven't driven the GTS and I'm sure it's more fun than the E92 M3 sitting outside right now. (This is saying quite a lot! That's how much admiration I have for the original M3.)

$#@!ing BMW... they should bring the GTS to the US. Price it around 90k and offer it in ALPINE WHITE.

So nothing, the E30 is a classic. Not sure if it is more fun to drive or not.

actually it isn't ,some people just love E30 and that love makes them blind. i drove a 333i with Reiger package afew months ago , it's a really fun car but not that huge to compare it to GTS or something like that
