The accessport is popular in the Subrau world, my friend uses it to good results.

Would like to see it on the N54 but that is a pretty worthless video.

Oh ya, dyno tuned, would not mess around with their stock maps. The accessport is just cool how it holds maps and you can switch them, download maps, etc.

For the last while I have been working on adding N54 (N55 support is being worked on Click here to enlarge) support to the AccessPORT and that support is about ready.

It would work like the OE Tuning setup I would assume of doing a flash on the spot, right? Therefore no meth failsafe and the canbus would be kind of irrelevant I would think.

Cobb is a big name in the industry and certainly will throw some weight around in the N54 market. But the biggest thing working against them aside from warranty problems is that the flash tuning to date has not been competitive with piggyback tuning. Then add to that the piggyback features (not likely to show up in a flash) like in dash gauges, autotuning, progressive meth, DPFIX, along with the lower price points, and I think something like this will appeal to guys who would otherwise be going with GIAC, Dinan, or JB+. IMHO.

Most likely, but if it does on the fly map switching that is pretty cool. Then again, Piggy's already do that, right?

I can change my map from 12 psi to 20 psi in under 15 seconds... With the Cobb it takes several minutes to load the flash you want..

Well, the accessport looks kind of cool... and it's backlit.

The GTR has instant map switching using cruise controls on steering wheel, similar to JB. Up to 9 different maps.

On the other forum, they are answering a lot of questions that are being thrown at them. The Cobb guys seem to know what is available currently. They say they will match or exceed current power levels. They will release different maps for wide range of mods. Sounds like they will have a O2 fix also.

Time will tell. They said they are starting next month and releasing stage 1. So it will be a little longer before the good stuff comes.

They have GIAC dead in the water. Cobb can flash back to stock, while GIAC can only flash to a stock-like map. GIAC killer for sure.

Very interesting! Seems they are further along than we realized and they aren't just going to be another option but something stronger.

Now to get them over here to answer questions...
