Yet another turbo upgrade soon available for the N54: AWD Motorsports Upgraded Turbos

Apparently AWD Motorsports has also produced their own set of upgraded turbos for then N54. They had shiv there this past weekend tuning the vehicle. Check out the results. These have Billet Wheels with 39.6mm Inducer and Clipped rear wheel

Chart below shows 450whp and does not DROP boost on top end like stock turbos.. Notice 18.5 psi on top.. The initial peak boost request is 20psi but its making 450 on 18.5psi..

i was thinking the same thing. The stock turbos do that too, but that would be maxing them out.

i think it needs a little more tuning. whats the AFR

As a joke, someone should go in the Bpost thread and say "you should re-dyno with a JB4". Since all the Shiv Procede fanboys did that in the Helix turbo thread.

The numbers are disappointing considering 18-19psi on 110 octane + meth. Also a tune only N54 did 370rw on that same dyno so it seems to read a bit optimistic to start with.

It is holding around 25rw more @ 6000rpm than we did with the stock turbos then again we were just shooting for a number that day and not worried about power under the curve. I'll have to go back when time permits and see just how far we can push the stock turbos with the JB4. Click here to enlarge

Check these new turbos: Tuned 335i w/ AWD Billet Turbos!!! 450whp to Redline..

There is only one obviously advantage to these, and that is price. AWD also said they are working with them more this week and hope to get better numbers. There are no reported misfires with RBs?

yea...shiv came to mikes rescue when i said that my EPL units put down better numbers on EPLs ball busting mustang dyno... mike said you cant compare...but i did 400whp on it on just pump at 18 psi so give me the lowest correction factor ever used to calculate mustang to dynojet for an n54 and im right there at those numbers if not surpassing them on a dynojet....AND that run i had bad plugs AND the throttle blade closed on me right before peak whp/wtq....i bet if i dynoed now id eclipse my numbers wholeheartedly.

not when running high boost, i had a misfire with my old injector though, same time from i was having cold start shutters, which is why i replaced it

i was actually thinking the same LM...only thing is I dont have my meth installed yet so if it was done now it would just be pump vs pump...matt wants to install the new fuel system in before he puts the meth in

I am glad other people are realizing what a joke these things are. Over at e90 its the typical "omg" "wow" "amazing" posts. People don't even know wtf they are looking at.
