    Cool and I understand that, but I would love to see you run the 335 to substantiate it. Not doubting, just saying instead of seeing the run all we have to go on is you saying you pulled the 335. You have a vid vs. the Nissan but not vs. the 335...

    A tuned BMW 335 is not something you can beat in the CLK550. That is if it has a decent tune, was it a JB3 or Procede?

    never ran one so i wouldn't know im speaking from experience when someone ran me if they are a pro driver i have no idea but the fact is the fact if you cant drive your car like it's meant to be there is no reason to get an M3.

    doesnt matter who ran who street racing has tons of ambiguity. I thought people stopped rating how fast their car was from street encounters in high school?

    Want to be humbled - go to the nearest dynojet, and track. Report back.

    Ps I have tuned basic bolt on evo 9's trapping 118-120 on pump. Good luck with that......

    The runs i did ware not encounters they ware all set up including the M3's i just did not have my camera at the time of the runs. I never said that M3's are slow all i said i was able to beat a few on a roll run. But it's ok this reminds me of E46 M3 drivers that bashed on me and then go handled. Im speaking from experience there is always a better driver out there.

    Ya, I just don't see you beating that car in a head to head matchup. It is a manual so driver plays a factor but a JB3 335 with those mods should make quick work of a CLK550.

    We never saw a direct run between you two.

    Exactly, dynojet and track. I would throw in Vbox as well, some REAL numbers will quickly put things in perspective...

    I just still do not understand the underated part or how it applies.

    Meet up with a C63 and see for yourself! I'm sure you know a few people who have them, you seem to know car guys in your area.

    If a car is manual the driver is a large factor.

    If you run a DCT M3, stock, modded, whatever, you simply can not win. Therefore saying you can beat E92 M3's or you can pull them is innacurate. Just run at the track and post your results or get a dyno done. Why are we speculating here based on some random encounters on the street with many variables?

    This isn't a question of the M3 being slow or your car or anything like that, simply presenting how it is in reality.

    I just think a direct comparison would strengthen what you are trying to present especially since it goes against the norm and the entire history of results presented by tuned 335's.

    What makes your case difficult is you have no trap speeds, no dynos, no 60-130's, which makes it hard to back it up especially when omitting direct comparisons.

    I'm sure your car is fast man but a tuned 335 and E92 M3's are faster cars. We have seen bolt on 335's run 11's, I mean, how can you can expect to run with that?

    I cannot compare to a 335 that runs on meth kit but i compare my car to a 335i with JB3 tune with Map 7 but once the meth kit comes in to place i am out of the game.
    You are talking about a clk550 that only has a retuned ECU.

    That seems about right, nice difference with the tune. I think that reinforces even more that the CLK550 would not be able to come close to an E92 M3.

    One of our clk500 ran 13 flat @ 106 so how does a stock clk550 does low 13's @ 109 ? thats 3mph in 1/4 faster than a clk500 with less power.
