    Forza Motorsport 4 Coming

GT5 what? It wasn't even better than Forza 3 and the are already raising the bar. Oh and it won't take 5 years to come out:

I don't need it any time soon.

I have had Forza overload, played that game to death. It became too easy to play at times.

Even as a great fan of GT5, I do agree it was overhyped. The game is amazing and I love it and I'm not going to be bored anytime soon... BUT! I still think Forza IS raising the bar (owned 1 and 2)

I have yet to play any of the Forza games Click here to enlarge

I didn't play any games the last 3-5 years.... until recently COD Black Ops, Halo, etc... I did play GRID on PS3 a couple of times.

Has anyone here played GRID on PS3/Xbox? How does it compare to GT5 and Forza 3?

Yep, oh and they won't borrow 80% of the cars from Forza 1, and require you to reach a certain levels to unlock "damage".

GRID is a joke. Seriously. I played it for one day on PC with my G25. It is a total JOKE, unless you are looking for an arcade "racing" game.

SHIFT is better but needs the v1.05 unofficial community patch to be worth anything.

Exactly, such an outdated gaming model. The Japanese suck when it comes to this.

A little off topic, but has anyone ever joined a online simulatior like iracing? I wouldn't say the graphics are the best, but it seems to be a realistic sim.

iRacing, is insane. I do not currently have a subscription but I had it for 6 months. The physics and track modeling are THE BEST! The race organization is done very well as well, and you don't have a bunch of noobs wrecking everywhere because they can lose their license.

It's just a bit pricey to keep up with.

I like both games equally but for diff reasons. Forza's physics are better, not to mention damage is awesome, but PS3 lets me use my Logitech DFP wheel and the Nurburgring is always EXACT, unlike Forza. You would think they would make sure to get that down pat. I'm just glad I own both systems.

Sticky, if you want THE MOST serious sim, that is it. I'm gonna let you know now though, it's not something you can just sit down and expect to be pro at. Do you have a wheel/pedal setup?

    2 years = $179
    1 year = $99
    3 months = $30
    1 month = $12

It follows a monthly format like that because it is continuously updated. It is the most realistic simulator out right now. You can even earn money back by winning the various official races they have going on. You have to earn licenses by not wrecking and proving your ability to race. You can lose a license by wrecking consistently or pushing players off the track. If you don't want to mess with the licenses, you can just race off-line to test all your cars.

It does take a decent amount of RAM and a good graphics card to run at max settings though. The shadows make a big FPS hit as well as any anti-aliasing.

It isn't going to be Gran Turismo, not 1000 cars to choose from. This is a pure 100% racing sim. You are basically going scca racing in your living room, it gets very serious at times.

This is a very accurate racing sim. You can find pros in online races sometime, some practicing their class of racing. Car and track updates happen every few weeks. It definitely isn't a "collect them all" or "tuner" type game, just a hardcore simulation.

Interested in what it would cost for a good iracing setup. Steering/pedel setup, a solid computer, playseat.
