    S85 V10 Swap E30 vs. ESS VT2-625 SC E9X M3

I'm pretty surprised by the outcome:

I guess I am just surprised because I remember one video where the E30 couldn't really get traction it got destroyed by a Porsche I believe. No doubt it is stupid fast I juts figured an SC M3 would take it. Still, nice run Pea!

That E30 is cracy fast , The owner warms his tyres with just pressing the gas pedal in 2nd gear

It's a sick swap, no doubt. Tough to pull off as well... imagine a built 5.7 liter V10 in there...

Not sure what the E30 runs, trap speed wise, it's hard to tell in some of the comparo's, and his car seems to have traction issues at times. But Gustav did a Vbox pull and he was in the car which slows it down a bit of course, and according to what Gustav says in the vid he hit 7s, 100-200kph (62-124MPH) from what I've seen you add around 1 - 1.2s to that time to get your 60-130 time for cars that run in that range and he had wheel spin but I'm not sure if it was before 100 kph.

So 8s, 60-130, the passenger cost him lets say .5ish, so the car is a 7 second car 60-130, but I bet in great conditions, no wheel spin he can do much better, maybe high 6's, of course this is all pure speculation. It looks like they have a Vbox in just about every car at these M5board events, I wish they would tell us what these cars are hitting, 100-200kph and 60-130.

He had some plans to supercharge the m5 motor, but he would like to build the kit himself.
He did an amazing job just to make this one work, he uses a standalone system to control the engine.

Any idea which standalone he uses? Did he do the work himself?

Thank you, do you know this guy personally? If so, would be great to get him on here to talk about his ride.

wow thats pretty crazy, i'm a little surprised as well. but then i kinda thought about it. the e30 is a light matchbox with a HUGE engine lol compared to the SC e9x.

still, great run and video. why cant we have an airstrip like that and do some comparo runs. sticky im down to invest in one for the site !

I've been watching videos of this E30 on YouTube for awhile now. It is definitely an amazing swap. Piper Motorsport here in the US did a full E30 build but I think they swapped in a 5.7 liter, tubbed and swapped in an E90 rear subframe, and a few other "little things" here and there.
