Yes, they swapped in an S63 engine out of an X6 M and also swapped in an auto. You can read about it in the N63 section here: http://www.bimmerboost.com/showthrea...nto-the-E92-M3

thanks for clarifying, is it worth it though why not go all out with ess/gintani sc kit for the difference in cost of a motor swap??

They are located and Germany and just kind of do things differently over there. Their forced induction scene pales in comparison to ours, IMO.

Also, this build is done to show off for Manhart-Racing.

lol to show off waisting money??? you could probably do a fully built motor and then max out one of the sc kits and make allot more power and then get props for that

Absolutely, a built motor with SC especially with the manual or DCT would likely be cheaper and make more power. Plus, you have to run an auto with the TT V8.

Still, there is something very cool about being the first tuner to successfully accomplish the swap. Manhart-Racing traditionally deals in swaps, they did a bunch of V8 and V10 swaps in the past into the smaller cars and still do.

I still give them props to doing it. That auto trans shifts pretty fast and being 7 speeds it should really move.

It is a good trans, but not really an M3 transmission. It is the only way to do the swap though.

It'll be hella expensive ofcourse, like the E9x s85 swap, you need a donor S85 engine + cost of labor to install...and shipping your car to them...but hey, if you love your car/chassis that much to do it, why not?
