    Turbo S52 12.6@120 - 12 psi

This car was built by Lutz Performance. I believe it is on stock internals but not really sure what the complete specs are. It is a turbo S52 in a E36 Z3, oh, and it was done on 93 octane.

Sweet, they just dropped the compression a bit, used good head studs and ran 12s! Pretty good considering what those run stock. Plus this was done on 93.

If somebody was handy they could put together a kit like this for < $5,000 I bet.

Using a thicker head gasket to drop compression is pretty popular on these motors. They offer great bang for the buck in the BMW turbo community.

Thanks for the response guys! Much appreciated.

Sorry I've been away from the forum, but I look forward to joining, and being more active on this site!

That Z3 belongs to our lead fabricator, Shawn Grawunde, its a stock internals low compression setup. Car is crazy fast and everything metal in the engine bay was built here, nothing out sourced!

Any questions feel free to email or call!

Any reason you guys run it so rich? (Average 11:1)

Just playing it safe or did you find most power this way? What do you use for knock control?
