    Shuddering during acceleration

I've been running map7, 1.4 chip, ever since I've owned the car (about 4mos now) and use Shell's Vpower.

Twice over the past few weeks, when downshifting to 5th and during the acceleration to 6th, the car would shudder like a long stall. Once I've tapped to 6th, it goes away. However, this wasn't the case this morning. It kept shuddering (the best way I can describe the feeling in the peddle) all the way to work. I tried slowing down to 60mph but it didn't help. When I was stopped at signs/lights, it felt like the car was going to stall out. Each time I hit the gas (ever so lightly), it shuddered.

I get to work, let it sit for about 1/2 hour, go out reset the tune to stock, take a trip down the street and back (almost WOT) and it runs fine!

I can't get it to the dealership until Tuesday, but was wondering if anyone has had this experience. And, no, I haven't had any long starts, however a tech I talked to says it still might be the hpfp.

Replied to his other thread. But step one is to locate a code reader and check the codes.

Is there a "rule of thumb" for not posting the same question on more than one forum? Yes, I did post this elsewhere hoping to get feedback from a variety of people in case someone doesn't read/post on every forum.

That sounds like when my hpfp went out. I had the same shuddering problems for a few months... then the long cranks started... then hpfp death.

Geez....well, mine is still starting fine. Yesterday morning when I got to work, I mapped it down to 0, ran it up/down the street a few times, it's still at 0 and so far it's running fine. I'm going to keep it at 0 for a bout a week to see if the problem repeats. If, after a week it's running good, I'm going to step it up to 5 and see what happens. Guess I'll just keep it there unless/until I go to track it.

Nice save. Click here to enlarge I do try not to post more than one time per issue - per forum. I was just seeing how widespread the answers would be or if everyone pretty much had the same suggestions...yeah, I know, BT, BT, BT! Hmm, anyone have a Christmas giveaway on a BT?! lol

Oh, I did think the title "help me spammer" was cute, funny. I'd rather be called that than some of these other names I've seen being thrown around!
