Going back to NA, need an intake

    After my motor went:http://www.bimmerboost.com/showthrea...079-Motor-went

and other things happening in my life (got a new C63, have the 780 rwhpGT2, and most importantly wife is pregnant w/ our second child) I have decided to turn my former 600 rwhp SC M3 into a responsible daily driver.

However I need an intake. Which one should I get and how will it work with the heavily modified intake that I currently have?

Damn, I'm not sure what to advise you to work with that already but why not just dump it and go with a CSL setup? If keeping it NA, that is a great way to go and it looks awesome.

List it up for sale in the classified section, certainly can't hurt.

Shoot me an email ccsykes(at)sbcglobal.net. I have an OEM sitting in my garage collecting dust. You'll need new couplings.. You can have it for free, I was going to throw it away soon anyway.

yeah i cant see 18 hp from an intake, K and N must have used the butt dyno to come up with those numbers.

Op, do you have build thread?? I like to see more pic, videos, and dynos of the setup.

Sorry to hear about the motor. I see your thread about it. It must have been from detonation to break the spark plug.

What were you using for tuning?? And, what blower is that?

I have a buyer for my kit...however the price I quoted did not include the air to water heat exchanger....what should I charge for it? Its top quality and worked really well, my car was fairly resistant to heat soaking (I would say about the same as my Porsche until I upgraded to 5 inch IC's).

Also, I could keep the heat exchanger and have the buyer get an IC....opinions welcome.

The problem was the tuning...after 15 k miles a problem had developed and I was trying for 3 months to get Oscar Valez, the original tuner, to help me get her sorted out. He was no help and by the time I found someone else (Jerry of Eurocharged) it was too late.

BTW, when I say I have a buyer, he has only committed verbally, until I have cash in hand she is still available. Well, sort of...I do need to honor my word and give him a chance to get me the money first.

I will talk with him on Friday and if he does not wire money by Monday I am still open to offers.

The buyer will want your heat exchanger unless they want to deal with sourcing an IC, up the price a bit and include it in there.

The best option is likely to list a package with the heat exchanger and the price with and another without.

Without seeing it I don't know what you should ask but if it is top quality just charge 60% of what it would cost brand new.

I also have a factory manifold and intake if something happens with the one you might already get. I don't need any cash for it either. It's just sitting.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and thanks.

I am asking $3750 for the kit w/ out the fuel system and heat exchanger. As mentioned, I have someone interested. I told him I would give him the heat exchanger and fuel system for another $500.

The stuff cost $12K, I don't think I can ask 6.5 plus when you can get an AA kit w/ tuning for 8.5.

The good thing is this guy is in CA so he can go to OE. He can realistically make close to 500 rwhp, which is what the $11.5K AA system makes for half the money.

I could ask more but I want an easy sale.

If you want this OEM stuff you'll need to come get it soon. I'm going to be doing some major cleaning in the next few weeks to make more room for my car and it will most likely get trashed once I start. I'm basically renting a dumpster and going to town lol..
